THE 2021 SEASON
OF

OUR COMMUNITY READS

from the Friends of the Aptos Library!

Four books were selected as candidates
for a program that is designed to bring members
of our community together around one book.

One book was selected by voting members

In early Spring 2021 the selected book, and themes in the book, will be highlighted in a series of special events (likely virtual!)  Even though, due to the current restrictions, our calendar of events will be much reduced, and likely in virtual venues, we are looking forward to a calendar of events that will allow participants to delve into many themes from this book.
Events will likely take place during the month February 2021.  All events will be free and open to the public.

Our events aim to create a shared experience that will increase appreciation for our community libraries and for our local bookstores; foster pride in the varied experiences that our area offers; and the enrichment –– culturally, intellectually, and emotionally –– that comes from the joy of reading!
